SET EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

Set the EGR valve assembly to the camshaft housing.
HINT:

At this time, do not install the parts with the bolts.

CONNECT NO. 8 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
INSTALL NO. 1 EGR COOLER GASKET

CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the EGR valve assembly to the camshaft housing with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

INSTALL EGR INLET GASKET
INSTALL EGR VALVE ADAPTER GASKET

INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

for PHEV Model

for HEV Model

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, install the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly to the intake manifold and EGR valve assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

CONNECT ENGINE WIRE
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE
CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE
INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
- for PHEV Model:
  Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2023 - ]
- for HEV Model:
  Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]
ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
1. If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.
  HINT:
  
  Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after repairing or replacing the exhaust system.
