Rear Television Camera Communication Stop Mode [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the M28 rear television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M28-1 (CANH) - M28-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M28-3 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M28-4 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 5.5 to 7.05 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2024 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Refer to Image from Camera for Parking Assist Monitor is Abnormal [10/2022 - ]

    Result

    Proceed to 
    OK
    NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  5. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the M29 rear television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M29-1 (CANH) - M29-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M29-3 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M29-4 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 5.5 to 7.05 V

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2024 - ]

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)
