DTC P1779-96: Gear Shift Control Module Backup Power Supply Component Internal Failure [10/2022 - 08/2023]: Description

The integrated capacitor backs up the electronic shift lever system, advanced parking system and electric door lock system and is used to prevent vehicle roll-away, occupant lock-in during a collision, and ensures braking force when supply power from the battery is lost.
The integrated capacitor starts based on the IG ON signal.
