DTC P0335-62: Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Signal Compare Failure [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (ENGINE DRIVING CONDITION (LINE), ENGINE SPEED) 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Power Source Control > Data List

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) - ECM) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the A7 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
    • Disconnect the A16 ECM connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      A7-15 (NE) - A16-19 (NEO) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      A7-15 (NE) or A16-19 (NEO) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Connect the A7 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
    • Connect the A16 ECM connector.
    • Using an oscilloscope, check the engine speed input signal waveform at the terminal of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
