Confirmation Driving Pattern

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2025 Lexus RX 350, 2024 Lexus RX 350, and 2023 Lexus RX 350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

HINT: 

  1. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
  2. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
  3. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [A].
  4. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 15 seconds [B].
  5. Start the engine [C].
  6. Stop the engine and leave the vehicle for 60 minutes or more [D].
  7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [E].
  8. Read the pending DTCs.

    HINT: 

    • If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
    • If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.
  9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.
  10. Input the DTC: P2610-29 or P2610-93.
  11. Check the DTC judgment result.

    HINT: 

    • If the judgment result is NORMAL, the system is normal.
    • If the judgment result is ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
    • [A] to [E]: Normal judgment procedure.

      The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.

    • When clearing the permanent DTCs, do not disconnect the cable from the battery terminal or attempt to clear the DTCs during this procedure, as doing so will clear the universal trip and normal judgment histories.
