Active Control Engine Mount System [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (ACTIVATE THE ACM INHIBIT) 
    1. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test to operate the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system) and for check the operating sound of the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system).

      Powertrain > Engine > Active Test 

      Tester Display
      Activate the ACM Inhibit

      OK

      Operating sounds can be heard.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK VACUUM HOSES

    *1 Engine
    *2 Vacuum Pump Assembly
    *3 Front Engine Mounting Insulator
    *4 Rear Engine Mounting Insulator
    *5 ECM
    *6 Vacuum Switching Valve (for Active Control Engine Mount System)
    1. Check the air and vacuum hoses for looseness, disconnection and blockage.

      OK

      No looseness, disconnection or blockage.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE VACUUM HOSES 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK VACUUM

    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump assembly.
    2. Start the engine.
    3. Check that the disconnected port located on the vacuum pump assembly applies suction to your finger.

      OK

      Vacuum exists.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result:

    REPLACE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  4. INSPECT FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR 
    1. Inspect the front engine mounting insulator.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2022 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    OK

  5. INSPECT REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR 
    1. Inspect the rear engine mounting insulator.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2022 - ]

      Result

    SYSTEM NORMAL 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ] 

  6. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (POWER SOURCE OF VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (FOR ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM)) 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system) connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B6-1 (+B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  7. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (FOR ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM) 
    1. Inspect the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system).

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2022 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (FOR ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (FOR ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM) - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system) connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B6-2 (ACM) - B29-14 (ACM) Always Below 1 Ω
      B6-2 (ACM) or B29-14 (ACM) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  9. INSPECT EFI-MAIN NO. 3 RELAY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

    Result

    REPLACE EFI-MAIN NO. 3 RELAY

  10. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (POWER SOURCE OF EFI-MAIN NO. 3 RELAY) 
    1. Remove the EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *1 No. 1 Engine Room Relay Block and No. 1 Junction Block Assembly
      *2 EFI-MAIN NO. 3 Relay

      Standard Voltage

    1. Remove the EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EFI-MAIN NO. 3 RELAY - VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (FOR ACTIVE CONTROL ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM)) 
    1. Remove the EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    2. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve (for active control engine mount system) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5 (EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay) - B6-1 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      5 (EFI-MAIN NO. 3 relay) or B6-1 (+B) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (EFI-MAIN NO. 1 RELAY - EFI-MAIN NO. 3 RELAY)
