Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL TURBINE OUTLET ELBOW GASKET
- INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE CLAMP
*1 Exhaust Pipe Clamp *2 Converter with Catalyst Assembly *3 Turbo Charger Sub-assembly - - *a 140 mm (5.51 in.) or less *b Knock Pin *c Hole *d Alignment Protrusion on Exhaust Pipe Clamp Side *e Alignment Protrusion on Converter with Catalyst Assembly Side *f Position Alignment Range - Set a new exhaust pipe clamp to the converter with catalyst assembly.NOTE:
Make sure the end of the exhaust pipe clamp does not open 140 mm (5.51 in.) or more (standard amount approximately 60 mm (2.36 in.)).
- Temporarily install a new nut to the exhaust pipe clamp.
- Temporarily install the converter with catalyst assembly to the manifold stay with the 2 nut.NOTE:
Tighten the nut by hand until it contacts the surface.
- Align the converter with catalyst assembly with the knock hole on the turbocharger sub-assembly side to connect the converter with catalyst assembly.NOTE:
Make sure that there is a knock pin on the converter with catalyst assembly.
- Align the flange surfaces of the turbocharger sub-assembly and converter with catalyst assembly, and then temporarily install the exhaust pipe clamp.NOTE:
Align the position alignment protrusions on the exhaust pipe clamp side to within the range of the position alignment protrusions on the converter with catalyst assembly side.
- Set a new exhaust pipe clamp to the converter with catalyst assembly.
Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL CONVERTER WITH CATALYST ASSEMBLY
Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL NO. 1 TURBO INSULATOR
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 2)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 Specified tightening torque
Torque: 44 N.m (449 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 Specified tightening torque
Torque: 44 N.m (449 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
