Removal [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22
  4. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

  8. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  9. DISCONNECT PURGE VALVE (NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY)

  10. REMOVE AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the 3 bolts and air tube support.
      2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      3. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from air cleaner hose assembly.
      4. Remove the 4 bolts.
      5. Remove the bolt, clamp and intercooler assembly from air tube assembly.
      6. Remove the air tube gasket from the intercooler assembly.
  11. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY GUARD

      1. Remove the 4 nuts and bolts to separate the intercooler assembly from the intake manifold and No. 2 air tube.
      2. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and No. 2 turbo pressure sensor from the intercooler assembly.
      3. Remove the No. 2 air tube gasket from the intercooler assembly.
      4. Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.
