Monitor Description
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2024 Lexus RC 300, 2023 Lexus RC 300, 2022 Lexus RC 300, 2021 Lexus RC 300, and 2020 Lexus RC 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Current flows from terminal STAR of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) to the park/neutral position switch assembly and then terminal STA of the ECM (STA signal). The ECM then performs control to start the engine. If the ECM detects the starter control (STA) signal while the vehicle is being driven, it determines that there is a malfunction in the STA circuit. The ECM then illuminates the MIL and stores the DTC.
This monitor runs when the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12.43 mph) or more for 20 seconds or more.
