DTC P0033-12: Turbocharger / Supercharger Bypass Valve "A" Control Circuit Short to Battery [10/2015 - ]: Description

The air by-pass valve assembly is installed to the turbocharger compressor housing. It opens and closes in response to drive commands from the ECM. If the air by-pass valve assembly closes during normal boosting and the throttle valve closes while boost pressure is being applied, the air by-pass valve assembly will open and the excess pressure between the turbocharger and the throttle valve will be released.
