DTC P0712: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Low Input; DTC P0713: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit High Input [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR) 
    1. Disconnect the F47 transmission wire connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Transmission Wire)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      9 (OIL) - 1 (E2) Always 79 Ω to 156 kΩ
      9 (OIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1 (E2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      HINT: 

      If the resistance is out of the specified range with the ATF temperature shown in the table below, the driveability of the vehicle may decrease.

      ATF Temperature Specified Condition
      10°C (50°F) 5 to 8 kΩ
      25°C (77°F) 2.5 to 4.5 kΩ
      110°C (230°F) 0.22 to 0.28 kΩ

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR). Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM) 
    1. Connect the F47 transmission wire connector.

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to ECM)
    2. Disconnect the F1 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-29 (THO1) - F1-28 (E2) Always 79 Ω to 156 kΩ
      F1-29 (THO1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F1-28 (E2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  COMPONENTS [09/2014 - 10/2015]  , or refer to  COMPONENTS [10/2015 - 11/2017] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
