NOTE:
- Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
- Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs.
- Perform registration and/or initialization when parts related to the automatic transmission are replaced.

HINT:
After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Wait with the shift lever in each position (P, R, N and D) for 60 seconds or more each.
- Wait for 2 seconds or more with the shift lever in M.
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Perform steps (1) through (3) again.
- Check for DTCs again.
- DATA LIST NOTE:
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
HINT:
Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
- Warm up the engine.
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Neutral Position SW Signal, Shift SW Status (P Range), Shift SW Status (R Range), Shift SW Status (N Range), Sports Shift Up SW, Sports Shift Down SW, Sports Mode Selection SW, Shift SW Status (D Range).
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".
