Installation [09/2014 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Adhesive

      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply adhesive to the oil inlet port of the engine oil pressure switch assembly.
      • Install the engine oil pressure switch assembly within 3 minutes of applying adhesive.

    2. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, install the engine oil pressure switch assembly.

      Type A 

      Torque: 14.7 N.m (150 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

      Type B 

      Torque: 15 N.m (153 kgf/cm, 11 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not start the engine within 1 hour of installation.

    3. Connect the engine oil pressure switch assembly connector.
  2. ADD ENGINE OIL 

    See step  7 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  7 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  3. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK 

    See step  8 [09/2014 - 10/2015], or see step  8 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  5. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 86 [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 87 [10/2015 - 11/2017]

  6. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
