Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    See step  1

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE ECM 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 

    See step  10 [10/2015 - 11/2017], or see step  9 [11/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  13 [10/2015 - 11/2017], or see step  12 [11/2017 - ]

  6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU BOX

    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the connector holder.
    2. Disengage the claw and disconnect the engine wire harness from the engine room ECU box.
    3. Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector holder from the engine room ECU box.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and engine room ECU box.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 4 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 radiator hose from the water inlet.
  8. REMOVE WATER INLET 
    1. Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the water inlet.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and water inlet.

  9. REMOVE THERMOSTAT 
    1. Remove the thermostat from the water inlet housing sub-assembly.
    2. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
