On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Turn the A/C switch on.
- Inspect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Tester Display Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1 - Check the engine speed while operating the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly using the Techstream.
Standard Condition
Techstream Operation Specified Condition 0% Normal engine speed 100% Engine idles roughly or stalls If the operation is not as specified, check the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly, wire harness and ECM.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Exhaust VVT OCV Duty Ratio Bank 1.
