Precaution [10/2022 - ]

  1. INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:
    • Before replacing the ECM, refer to Registration.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2022 - ]

    • Before replacing the ECM, store the heavy knock history. After replacement, write the heavy knock history to the new ECM.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2015 - ] 

    • Initialize the heavy knock history after replacing the piston rings.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2019 - ] 

    • Perform Registration (VIN registration) after replacing the ECM.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [10/2015 - ] 

    • Make sure to perform Reset Memory (A/T initialization), when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, ECM or engine assembly.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ]

    • When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system(s) after the cable is reconnected.

      Lane Tracing Assist System Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]
      Pre-collision System
      Variable Gear Ratio Steering System
      Parking Assist Monitor System
      Air Conditioning System
      Lighting System (EXT)
  2. WHEN USING TECHSTREAM 
    WARNING:

    Observe the following items for safety reasons:

    • Before using the Techstream, read the instruction manual.
    • Prevent the Techstream cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the Techstream connected to the vehicle.
    • When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the Techstream, 2 persons are required. One to drive the vehicle, and another to operate the Techstream.
