Installation [11/2017 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.NOTE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover assembly edge.
*a Oil Seal Protrusion Height - SST: 09223-22010
- SST: 09506-35010
Oil Seal Protrusion Height
0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0394 in.)
NOTE:- Keep the lip free from foreign matter.
- Do not tap in the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY
- Install the crankshaft timing gear key to the key groove.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
- INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
- INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (for AWD)
- Install the oil filter bracket with the bolt and nut.
Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf)
- Install the oil filter bracket with the bolt and nut.
- INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

- INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY

- ADD ENGINE OIL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2017 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - ]
- INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]
- INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
