Installation [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.
    2. Engage the 3 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 
    1. Install the engine room ECU outlet duct to the fan shroud assembly.
  5. CONNECT COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to connect the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when connecting the cooler condenser assembly.

  6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. Engage the 5 clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support.
    3. Connect the 2 horn connectors and smog ventilation sensor connector.
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure it.
    2. Install a new radiator hose clamp to the fan shroud assembly.
    3. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator hose clamp.
  8. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the radiator reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.
    2. Engage the clamp to connect the outlet radiator reserve tank hose to the fan shroud assembly.
    3. Connect the outlet radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator pipe and slide the clip to secure it.
    4. Engage the clamp to connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the fan shroud assembly.
    5. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  9. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Engage the 7 clamps to connect the engine room main wire to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
    2. Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and water inlet and slide the 2 clips to secure it.
  11. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support.
  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - 11/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2019 - ]

  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - 11/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2019 - ]

  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 73

  15. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 77

  16. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  3

  17. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 105

  19. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 106

  20. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2018 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2022 - ]
