Installation [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Completely remove any oil and other foreign matter and clean the constant velocity universal joint washers and the contact surfaces of the front propeller shaft assembly, transfer and front differential.
    2. Align the matchmarks on the flange yoke assembly and the front propeller shaft assembly.

      *a Matchmark
      Clean off oil and other foreign matter completely
    3. Temporarily install the front propeller shaft assembly with the 6 bolts and 2 constant velocity universal joint washers.
      NOTE:

      Completely remove any oil and other foreign matter and clean the contact surfaces of the bolts.

    4. Align the matchmarks on the front drive pinion companion flange front sub-assembly and the front propeller shaft assembly.

      *a Matchmark
      Clean off oil and other foreign matter completely
    5. Temporarily install the front propeller shaft assembly with the 6 bolts and 2 constant velocity universal joint washers.
      NOTE:

      Completely remove any oil and other foreign matter and clean the contact surfaces of the bolts.

    6. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent tool, hold the front propeller shaft assembly.

      *a Turn
      *b Hold
    7. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the front propeller shaft assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft assembly.

    8. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent tool, hold the front propeller shaft assembly.

      *a Turn
      *b Hold
    9. Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the front propeller shaft assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front propeller shaft assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket sub-assembly to the transmission with transfer assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2017 - ]
