Removal [09/2014 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD
- Remove the pin hold clip.NOTE:
The pin hold clip can be reused if it has sufficient rebound, no deformation, cracks or wear, and has had all rust, dirt and foreign matter cleaned off.
- Remove the front disc brake anti-rattle with hole pin while pushing the front disc brake anti-rattle spring against the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
- Remove the front disc brake anti-rattle spring from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.NOTE:
The front disc brake anti-rattle spring can be used again if it has sufficient rebound, no deformation, cracks or wear, and has had all rust, dirt and foreign matter cleaned off.
- Remove the 2 front disc brake pads from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
- Remove the pin hold clip.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT
- for 1-piece Front Disc:
- Remove the front No. 1 disc brake anti-squeal shim and front No. 2 disc brake anti-squeal shim from each front disc brake pad.
- for 2-piece Front Disc:
- Remove the front No. 1 disc brake anti-squeal shim from each front disc brake pad.
- for 1-piece Front Disc:
- DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT DISC
