Reassembly [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL PROTECTOR

      *a Line - -
      Heating Area - -
      1. Clean the rear spoiler cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the rear spoiler cover and 2 protectors.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Area Temperature Area Temperature
        Rear Spoiler Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) Protector 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        *b Heat Light
        NOTE:

        Do not heat the rear spoiler cover excessively.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear spoiler cover.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Install the 2 new protectors.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the 2 protectors.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the 2 protectors as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Apply the rear spoiler seal along the scribed line on the rear spoiler cover.
        • Press the protector firmly to install it.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR

      *a Line - -
      Heating Area - -
      1. Clean the rear spoiler cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the rear spoiler cover and 3 No. 1 rear spoiler protectors.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Rear Spoiler Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) No. 1 Rear Spoiler Protector 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

        NOTE:

        Do not heat the rear spoiler cover excessively.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear spoiler cover.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Install the 3 new No. 1 rear spoiler protectors.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the 3 No. 1 rear spoiler protectors.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the 3 No. 1 rear spoiler protectors as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Apply the rear spoiler seal along the scribed line on the rear spoiler cover.
        • Press the No. 1 rear spoiler protector firmly to install it.
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR

      1. Clean the rear spoiler cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the rear spoiler cover and 4 No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Rear Spoiler Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) No. 2 Rear Spoiler Protector 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
        • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

      2. Install the 4 new No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the 4 No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the 4 No. 2 rear spoiler protectors as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        • Apply the rear spoiler seal along the scribed line on the rear spoiler cover.
        • Press the No. 2 rear spoiler protector firmly to install it.
  4. INSTALL PACKING B

      Heating Area - -
      1. Clean the rear spoiler cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the rear spoiler cover and packing B.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Rear Spoiler Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) Packing B 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the packing B.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the packing B as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Press the packing B firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL PACKING A

      1. Clean the rear spoiler cover surface.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the double-sided tape remaining on the rear spoiler cover and packing A.

        HEATING TEMPERATURE

        Rear Spoiler Cover 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) Packing A 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F)
        WARNING:
        • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler cover surface.

        2. Remove the release paper from the packing A.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        3. Install the packing A as shown in the illustration.

        HINT: 

        Press the packing A firmly to install it.

  6. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
