Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Kick Sensor) 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - ]
  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE COVER PLATE (w/ Kick Sensor) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Kick Sensor) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  5. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Apply protective tape around the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH and rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration to disconnect the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the rear fender liner LH.
        • To avoid damaging the clips, do not forcibly pull the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
    2. Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      1. Remove the 2 clips.

      1. Remove the 2 screws.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
      3. Remove the 6 clips and 2 screws.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Disengage the 10 claws and 2 pins as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        To avoid damaging the claws, do not forcibly pull the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.

      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the rear bumper assembly.
