Operation Check [11/2021 - ]

CHECK WARNING AND INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATION

Initial Check

Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG) or ON (READY).

Check the operation of the following warning and indicator lights.

VSC OFF indicator light
PCS warning light
Slip indicator light
Brake warning light/red (malfunction)
Brake warning light/yellow (minor malfunction)
ABS warning light
EPS warning light
MIL (Check engine warning light)
SRS warning light
Tire pressure warning light
Brake hold standby indicator light
Brake hold operated indicator light
Driving assist information indicator light
Clearance sonar OFF indicator light (w/ INtuitive Parking Assist System)

Vehicle Condition	Warning/Indicator Lights Condition
Ignition switch off → ignition switch ON (IG) → ignition switch ON (READY)	Illuminates and turns off in either of the following patterns depending on the specification: Illuminates when the ignition switch is turned to ON (IG), and turns off after a certain amount of seconds has elapsed* Illuminates when the ignition switch is turned to ON (IG), and turns off when the ignition switch is turned to ON (READY)
Ignition switch off → ignition switch ON (READY)	Illuminates when the ignition switch is turned to ON (READY), and turns off after a certain amount of seconds has elapsed*

*: The amount of seconds until turning off differs depending on each indicator or warning light.

CHECK SPEEDOMETER

NOTE:

If the tire size or tire inflation pressure is not within the specified range, or the tires are excessively worn, the speedometer indication error will increase. Therefore, make sure to perform this inspection after checking that the tire size, tire inflation pressure and tire wear are in the specified range.
When the electronically controlled brake system is malfunctioning, an accurate vehicle speed signal may not be able to be obtained. Therefore, make sure to confirm that the electronically controlled brake system is not malfunctioning before performing this procedure.

HINT:

The indicated value of the speedometer has an allowable range. Therefore, even when the combination meter assembly is not malfunctioning, the actual vehicle speed and the indicated value speed may not match.

Read the vehicle speed of the Data List item of the electronically controlled brake system and compare the indicated values of the speedometer with the following table.

CHECK TACHOMETER

NOTE:

When the SFI system is malfunctioning, an accurate engine speed signal may not be able to be obtained. Therefore, make sure to confirm that the SFI system is not malfunctioning before performing this procedure.

HINT:

The indicated value of the tachometer has an allowable range. Therefore, even when the combination meter assembly is not malfunctioning, the actual engine speed and the indicated value speed may not match.

Read the engine speed of the Data List item of the SFI system and compare the indicated values of the tachometer with the following table.

CHECK STEERING PAD SWITCH (w/ Touch Tracer Operation)

HINT:

Make sure to confirm the customize settings related to the steering pad switch before performing an operation check.

Check Operation Guide Display (Display Location)
1. Set the headup display setting to ON.
2. Touch the steering pad switch and confirm the display position of the operation guide.

  Displayed on the headup display for a certain amount of time.
3. Set the headup display setting to OFF.
4. Touch the steering pad switch and confirm the display position of the operation guide.

  Displayed on the multi-information display for a certain amount of time.

Check Operation Guide Display (Display Status)

Check the display status of the operation guide when the steering pad switch is operated, refer to the following.

Touch each switch, with the operation guide not displayed	The operation guide is displayed for a certain amount of time.
Press each switch, with the operation guide not displayed	The operation guide is displayed for a certain amount of time.
Touch each switch, with the operation guide displayed	The touched display of the steering pad switch changes. The function and current set value of the touched steering pad switch are displayed.
Press each switch, with the operation guide displayed	The pressed display of the steering pad switch changes. The new set value after pressing the steering pad switch is displayed.

The above display status can be confirmed normally with all switches.

Touch each switch, while the operation guide is displayed.
Move the touched point and the touch to other functions switch.
OK

The touched display of the steering pad switch changes in linkage with the touch point.
Release the steering pad switch, while the operation guide is displayed.
OK

After a certain amount of time, the operation guide display is hidden.

Check Steering Pad Switch Operation

Operate the steering pad switch and check the operation of each function.
