Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

  2. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

  3. DRAIN FUEL 
  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER DYNAMIC DAMPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [03/2023 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [03/2024 - ]

  6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

      1. Remove the 3 clips, 2 bolts and 5 screws.
      2. Turn the 3 clips and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the 3 clips are not turned when the front floor cover LH is removed, the front floor cover LH or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clips from the front floor cover LH.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER

      1. Remove the 3 clips and 2 bolts.
      2. Turn the 4 clips and remove the No. 2 floor under cover from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the 4 clips are not turned when the No. 2 floor under cover is removed, the No. 2 floor under cover or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clips from the No. 2 floor under cover.

  8. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

      1. Remove the 2 clips, 2 bolts and 4 screws.
      2. Turn the 2 clips and remove the front floor cover RH from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the 2 clips are not turned when the front floor cover RH is removed, the front floor cover RH or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clips from the front floor cover RH.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER

      1. Remove the 3 clips and 2 bolts.
      2. Turn the clip and remove the No. 1 floor under cover from the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        If the clip is not turned when the No. 1 floor under cover is removed, the No. 1 floor under cover or stud bolt may be damaged.

        HINT: 

        Do not remove the clip from the No. 1 floor under cover.

  10. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  11. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR

  14. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK EVAP/VENT TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Disengage the clamp.
      2. Disconnect the fuel tank evap/vent tube sub-assembly from the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - ]

  15. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly from the fuel pipe.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - ]

  16. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER TUBE

      1. Disconnect the fuel tank breather tube from the fuel tank breather tube sub-assembly.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - ]

  17. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE ASSEMBLY

      1. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe assembly from the fuel tank sub-assembly.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - ]

  18. REMOVE FUEL TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    The fuel tank sub-assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the fuel tank sub-assembly may fall off the engine lifter.

      1. Support the fuel tank sub-assembly using an engine lifter.

        HINT: 

        Using height adjustment attachments and plate lift attachments, keep the fuel tank sub-assembly horizontal.

      2. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 fuel tank band sub-assemblies.
      3. Lower the engine lifter to remove the fuel tank sub-assembly.
        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to drop the fuel tank sub-assembly.
        • When removing the fuel tank sub-assembly, tilt it slightly to prevent it from interfering with the surrounding parts.

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK CUSHION 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 1 fuel tank cushion is necessary.

  22. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK CUSHION 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the No. 2 fuel tank cushion is necessary.

  23. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL TANK CUSHION 

    HINT:
