DTC B1510-87: Lost Communication with HUD Gigabit Video Interface Missing Message [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HEADUP DISPLAY 
    1. Turn the settings of the headup display to ON and confirm the startup operation.

      Result

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the D138 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D137 combination meter assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D138-1 (MGV+) - D137-2 (HGV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      D138-2 (MGV-) - D137-1 (HGV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      D138-3 (MGVG) - D137-3 (HGVG) Always Below 1 Ω
      D138-1 (MGV+) or D137-2 (HGV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D138-2 (MGV-) or D137-1 (HGV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. None

  3. REPLACE METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the meter mirror sub-assembly with a new or known good one.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
