DTC C060B-13: Left Electric Parking Brake Actuator Control Circuit Open [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      Procedure1

    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connectors.

      OK

      The connector is securely connected.

      Pre-procedure2

    3. Disconnect the fG3 and f4 No. 2 parking brake wire assembly connectors.

      Procedure2

    4. Check both the connector case and the terminals for deformation and corrosion.

      OK

      No deformation or corrosion.

      Procedure3

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      fG3-1 - f4-2 (LE+) Always Below 1 Ω
      fG3-1 - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      fG3-2 - f4-1 (LE-) Always Below 1 Ω
      fG3-2 - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

      Post-procedure1

    6. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) - PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Make sure the No. 2 parking brake wire assembly is securely installed.
    3. Disconnect the A38 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
    4. Disconnect the f4 parking brake actuator assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A38-3 (MRL+) - f4-2 (LE+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A38-2 (MRL-) - f4-1 (LE-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    6. None

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    REPLACE NO. 2 SKID CONTROL ECU (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 03/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [03/2024 - ]
