DTC P2600-9E: Motor/Generator Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit Stuck On [11/2021 - 03/2024]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (L TERMINAL VOLTAGE) 
    1. Disconnect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Oil Pump with Motor Assembly)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B30-4 (L) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      NOTE:

      Turning the ignition switch to ON with the oil pump with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    4. Turn the ignition switch off.
    5. Reconnect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY - OIL PMP RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.
    2. Remove the OIL PMP relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *1 No. 1 Engine Room Relay Block *2 OIL PMP Relay

      (to Oil Pump with Motor Assembly)
      - -

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B30-4 (L) or 5 (OIL PMP relay) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force when using the probes of the tester to perform the inspection. If excessive force is used, the terminals will be damaged.
      • Turning the ignition switch to ON with the oil pump with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Install the OIL PMP relay.
    7. Reconnect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PMP RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
    2. Remove the OIL PMP relay from the No. 1 engine room relay block and No. 1 junction block assembly.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A27-4 (OPM2) or 1 (OIL PMP relay) - Body ground and other terminals Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force when using the probes of the tester to perform the inspection. If excessive force is used, the terminals will be damaged.
      • Turning the ignition switch to ON with the oil pump with motor assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Install the OIL PMP relay.
    7. Reconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RELAY (OIL PMP) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
