Installation [11/2021 - 03/2024]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for Type B) 
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION (for Type B) 
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for Type B)

      1. Engage the 2 guides.
      2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      2. Engage the 2 guides.
      3. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly, radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant).

      1. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      2. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and rotate the lever to lock it.
        NOTE:
        • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
        • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      3. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      4. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.
  4. CONNECT NO. 5 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for Type B) 
  5. CONNECT NO. 4 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for Type B) 
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE (for Type B)

      *e 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.) *f Paint Mark
      1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 2 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  7. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (for Type B)

      *e 2 to 5 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.) *f Paint Mark
      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  8. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for Type B) 
  9. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for Type B)

      1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 5 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  10. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for Type A) 
  11. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION (for Type A) 
  12. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (for Type A)

      1. Engage the 2 guides.
      2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      2. Engage the 2 guides.
      3. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

      1. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan with motor assembly.
      2. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and rotate the lever to lock it.
        NOTE:

      1. Connect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 3 inverter cooling hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  14. CONNECT NO. 4 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for Type A)

      1. Connect the No. 4 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 4 inverter cooling hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  15. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE (for Type A)

      1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 2 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  16. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (for Type A)

      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 1 radiator hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
      2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  17. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for Type A) 
  18. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for Type A)

      1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
        NOTE:
        • Make sure to slide the No. 5 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose stopper of the radiator assembly.
        • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
  19. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
  21. CONNECT NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for Type B) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  22. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
  23. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - ]

  24. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH 

    for Type A: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    for Type B: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  25. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH 

    for Type A: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    for Type B: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  26. INSTALL NO. 3 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 

    for Type A: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    for Type B: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  27. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 

    for Type A: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    for Type B: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  28. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [03/2022 - ]
  29. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [03/2022 - ]
  30. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [03/2022 - ]

  31. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE AND LEVER SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2022 - ]

  32. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [03/2022 - ]

  33. INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT TENSION SPRING 
  34. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
  35. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  36. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    for LED Type Turn Signal Light: Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - ]

    for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light: Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - ]

  37. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  38. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
