- DRAIN COOLANT (for Inter cooler)

- REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE FRONT FENDER PANEL CUSHION LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER PANEL CUSHION RH
- Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH
- Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR SPLASH SHIELD LH

- REMOVE COWL VENTILATOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- REMOVE PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE
- REMOVE AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY
See step 8 - REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- REMOVE VACUUM REGULATING VALVE ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR INLET ELBOW SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE DASH PANEL HEAT INSULATOR
- REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 1)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2021 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [03/2023 - ] - REMOVE NO. 1 TURBO INSULATOR
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 TURBO WATER HOSE
- DISCONNECT NO. 3 TURBO WATER HOSE
- REMOVE NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR BRACKET
- SEPARATE CONVERTER WITH CATALYST ASSEMBLY NOTE:
If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.
- REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE CLAMP
- REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE:
If a stud bolt is deformed or its threads are damaged, replace it.
- Remove the two nuts from the bottom of the vehicle and disconnect the No. 1 turbo oil pipe from the turbocharger sub-assembly.
- Rotate the converter with catalyst assembly outwards around the stud bolts to secure removal space.
- Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolts from the cylinder head.
