Downhill Assist Control Indicator Light Circuit [11/2021 - 03/2024]: Description

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

The downhill assist control indicator light comes on when the downhill assist control is ready. Even if the downhill assist control switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) is pressed, the downhill assist control indicator light will blink and the downhill assist control will not be activated under the following conditions.

• The shift state other than S mode or R.
• The vehicle speed is 25 km/h (15 mph) or more.
• The brake system overheats.
