Removal [10/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE TOOL BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  3. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - 10/2023]

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    It is necessary to remove the shift control ECU while no power is being supplied from the sub-battery. Therefore, perform the following procedures.

    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Check that the ODO meter display has turned off.

      HINT: 

      The ODO meter continues to display for 30 seconds after turning off. Therefore, allow sufficient time for the shift control ECU to enter sleep mode and for the sub-battery power supply to end. In addition to monitoring the sub-battery voltage directly, the only other method for checking on the vehicle is to use the ODO meter display.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
  5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57 [11/2021 - 10/2022]

  7. REMOVE SHIFT CONTROL ECU 
    1. Disconnect the 3 shift control ECU connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and shift control ECU.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 SHIFT CONTROL ECU BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 1 shift control ECU bracket from the shift control ECU.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 SHIFT CONTROL ECU BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 2 shift control ECU bracket from the shift control ECU.
