Reassembly [12/2017 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Attach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the clip to install the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.
  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Attach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the clip to install the rear bumper lower side retainer LH as shown in the illustration.
  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER LH 
    1. Install the rear bumper lower retainer LH with the 4 screws.

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Insert the guide.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Attach the guide and install the rear bumper bar corner reinforcement LH with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Attach the claw.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH with the bolt.
  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Attach the guide to install the rear bumper energy absorber.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM 

    HINT: 

    When installing the rear bumper arm, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:
      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.
      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover.
      WARNING:
      • Do not touch the heat light or the heated portions of the components.
      • Touching the heat light could result in burns.
      • Touching the heated portions of the components and remaining in contact for a long time could result in burns.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new 2 rear bumper arms.

      *a Mark-off Line

      Align the 2 rear bumper arms with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      HINT: 

      • Press the rear bumper arm firmly to install it.
      • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.
  14. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    When installing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:
      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.
      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new No. 1 moulding tape.

      *a Mark-off Line

      Align the No. 1 moulding tape with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      HINT: 

      • Press the No. 1 moulding tape firmly to install it.
      • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.
    5. Remove the application tape.
  15. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE LH 
    1. Install the anti-drop hook.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper piece LH.
  16. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the guide and claw to install the reflex reflector assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the screw.
  18. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER 
    1. Insert the rear bumper cover to the rear bumper lower cover.

    2. Attach the claw.

      HINT:

    3. Install the 6 clips as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the 2 clips.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Install the 4 clips as shown in the illustration.

  20. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper side moulding LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.
  21. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  22. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Insert the guide.

      *1 Grommet
    2. Install the rear bumper extension sub-assembly LH with the 2 grommets and 2 screws.
    3. Install the 2 clips.
  23. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  24. INSTALL REAR ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  25. INSTALL REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  26. INSTALL REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  27. INSTALL REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  28. INSTALL REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  29. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2017 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  30. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 
    1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.
    2. Connect the 4 connectors.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive loads to the retainer. Otherwise, it may peel off.

  31. INSTALL KICK DOOR CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid)
