Disassembly [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. REMOVE WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 washer bracket.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the headlight cleaner hose.

  8. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. REMOVE FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE 
    1. w/ Parking Support Brake System:
      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

        *A w/ Parking Support Brake System - -
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive loads to the retainer. Otherwise, it may peel off.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.
  11. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  14. REMOVE FRONT ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ Parking Support Brake System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR 
    1. Detach the guide and double-sided tape.

      Double-sided Tape

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the other side.

    2. Detach the clip.

  16. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR GRILLE 
    1. Remove the 6 screws.

    2. Remove the 4 clips.
    3. Detach the guide and remove the upper radiator grille.
  17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE RETAINER LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the front bumper No. 2 side retainer LH, heat the front bumper cover and front bumper No. 2 side retainer LH using a heat light.

    Standard

    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Front Bumper No. 2 Side Retainer LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

    HINT:

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION LH 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION RH

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE BRACKET LH

    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the radiator grille bracket LH as shown in the illustration.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SIDE MOULDING LH

      Remove in this Direction

      Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip.

    3. Detach the guide and remove the radiator grille side moulding LH as shown in the illustration.
  24. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SIDE MOULDING RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the front bumper retainer, heat the front bumper cover and front bumper retainer using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other side.

    Standard

    WARNING:

    1. Detach the guide and remove the front bumper No. 1 arm as shown in the illustration.

  28. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the radiator grille seal, heat the radiator grille assembly and radiator grille seal using a heat light.

    Standard

    Radiator Grille Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      Remove the radiator grille seal.

  29. REMOVE NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the front bumper cover and No. 1 moulding tape using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other side.

    Standard

    2. Detach the claw and guide and remove the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem as shown in the illustration.

  34. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip.
    3. Detach the claw and remove the radiator grille moulding as shown in the illustration.
  35. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SEAL 

    HINT: 

    When removing the upper radiator seal, heat the radiator grille moulding and upper radiator seal using a heat light.

    Standard

    Radiator Grille Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Upper Radiator Seal 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

    1. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip and remove the lower radiator grille moulding as shown in the illustration.
  37. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the engine switch off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors of the pedestrian detection chamber assembly.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting any pedestrian detection chamber assembly connector, take care not to damage the pedestrian detection chamber assembly wire harness.

      1. Push down the housing lock and slide the CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

      2. Push the housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
        NOTE:

        Do not push down the upper part of the CPA shown in the illustration when disconnecting the pedestrian detection chamber assembly connector.

      3. After disconnecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.
