Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    When removing parts with double-sided tape applied, heat the portion of the parts with tape residue with a heat light if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Metal parts 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Resin parts 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the part excessively.

  2. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 

    HINT: 

    The illustration is an example, so the details may differ.

      1. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 screws.

      Clip Screw
      Grommet - -
      1. Remove the clip.
      2. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw.
      3. Remove the 2 grommets and rear bumper side seal LH.
  4. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Standard)

      Screw Clip
      1. Put protective tape around the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
      2. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw.
      3. Remove the 2 clips.

      1. Detach the claw.

      *a Double-sided Tape - -
      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Heat the adhesive of the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
      2. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip and remove the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
  5. REMOVE QUARTER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Off Road Package)

      Screw Clip
      1. Put protective tape around the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH.
      2. Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the screw.
      3. Remove the 2 clips.

      1. Detach the claw.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip and remove the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 BODY OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD (for Standard)

      1. Heat the adhesive of the No. 1 body outside moulding pad using a heat light.
      2. Remove the No. 1 body outside moulding pad.
  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR MOULDING OUTSIDE LH (for Standard)

      1. Put protective tape around the rear door moulding outside LH.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door moulding outside LH using a heat light.
      2. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip and remove the rear door moulding outside LH as shown in the illustration.
  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR MOULDING OUTSIDE LH (for Off Road Package)

      1. Put protective tape around the rear door moulding outside LH.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.

      Place Hand Here Remove in this Direction
      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip as shown in the illustration.

      1. Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and detach the clip and remove the rear door moulding outside LH as shown in the illustration.
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 1 MOULDING PAD (for Standard)

      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 1 moulding pad using a heat light.
      2. Remove the rear door No. 1 moulding pad.
  10. REMOVE BODY ROCKER PANEL MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ] 

  11. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

      Remove in this Direction Clip
      Grommet - -
      1. Remove the clip.
      2. Remove the grommet.
      3. Heat the adhesive of the quarter panel wheel opening moulding LH using a heat light.
      4. Detach the clip and remove the quarter panel wheel opening moulding LH as shown in the illustration.
