Reassembly [12/2023 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH (w/ Weatherstrip) NOTE:
When installing the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH, heat the vehicle body and front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
Standard Value
Part Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Front Door No. 3 Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH excessively.
Double-sided Tape - - - Clean the surface of the vehicle body.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
NOTE:- Installing the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
- Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
- Attach the clip and double-sided tape to install the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
HINT:
Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.
- Install the front door panel sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
WARNING:Be sure to perform this procedure with 2 or more persons as the part is very heavy.
- Clean the surface of the vehicle body.
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR WIRE LH
- PRECAUTION

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH (CENTER PILLAR SIDE)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 - INSTALL FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 - INSTALL FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH NOTE:
When installing the front door weatherstrip LH, heat the vehicle body and front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

Double-sided Tape - - - Clean the surface of the vehicle body.
1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
NOTE:- Installing the front door weatherstrip LH with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
- Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new front door weatherstrip LH.
- Attach the clip and double-sided tape to install the front door weatherstrip LH.
HINT:
Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.
- Clean the surface of the vehicle body.
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
*a When reusing the bolt - - Clean the thread Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent. - Clean the bolt hole in the vehicle body.
- When reusing the bolt:
1. Clean the threads of the bolt.
2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.
Adhesive
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.
- Install the front door check assembly LH with the 2 nuts and bolt.
Bolt
Torque: 27 N*m (275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf)
Nut
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Install in this Direction MP Grease - Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.
- Attach the guide and claw as shown in the illustration.
- Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH with "TORX" screw.
Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)
- INSTALL HOLE PLUG
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR WIRE LH
- INSTALL DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB BEZEL LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB HOLDER
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH
- INSTALL DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

MP Grease - - - Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door window regulator with motor assembly.
- Install the front door window regulator with motor assembly with the 7 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Connect the connector.

- INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Connect the connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]
- Move the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH so that the door glass bolt holes can be.
Install in this Direction - - - Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
- Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]
- Disconnect the connector.
- Temporarily install the front door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly LH.
- Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- INSTALL HOLE PLUG
- INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 - INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
*a Match Mark *b Bead Mark Turn in this Direction - - - Pass the front door Lock remote control cable assembly LH and front door Inside Locking cable assembly LH through the front door service hole cover LH.
- Attach the clip to install the front door service hole cover LH.
- Turn the service hole cover clip 45° clockwise and align the positions of the bead mark and knob.
- Attach the clamp.
- Connect the connector.
- INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

- INSTALL COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH
- ADJUST FRONT DOOR LH

- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL
HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
