Reassembly [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH (w/ Weatherstrip) 
    NOTE:

    When installing the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH, heat the vehicle body and front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Front Door No. 3 Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH excessively.

      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Clean the surface of the vehicle body.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

        2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

        NOTE:
        • Installing the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
        • Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.

        3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
      3. Attach the clip and double-sided tape to install the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.

        HINT: 

        Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.

      4. Install the front door panel sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

        Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

        WARNING:

        Be sure to perform this procedure with 2 or more persons as the part is very heavy.

  2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WIRE LH 
  3. PRECAUTION 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE STRIPE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 2 STRIPE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  7. INSTALL SCREW GROMMET 
  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL 
  9. INSTALL HOLE PLUG 
  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION 
  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH (CENTER PILLAR SIDE) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH 
  14. INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    NOTE:

    When installing the front door weatherstrip LH, heat the vehicle body and front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Front Door Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Clean the surface of the vehicle body.

        1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new front door weatherstrip LH.
      3. Attach the clip and double-sided tape to install the front door weatherstrip LH.

        HINT: 

        Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.

  16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

      *a When reusing the bolt - -
      Clean the thread Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.
      1. Clean the bolt hole in the vehicle body.
      2. When reusing the bolt:

        1. Clean the threads of the bolt.

        2. Apply adhesive to the threads of the bolt.

        Adhesive

        Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent.

      3. Install the front door check assembly LH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

        Bolt 

        Torque: 27 N*m (275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf) 

        Nut 

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  17. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH 
  18. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Install in this Direction MP Grease
      1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH.
      2. Attach the guide and claw as shown in the illustration.
      3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH with "TORX" screw.

        Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
  20. INSTALL FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD 
  21. INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  23. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

      1. Install the front door lock cylinder assembly.

        HINT: 

        Check that the front door lock cylinder assembly is inserted into the front door lock with motor assembly LH.

      2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door lock cylinder assembly with "TORX" screw.

        Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  24. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)

      1. Attach the claw to install the front door outside handle cover.
      2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door outside handle cover with "TORX" screw.

        Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  25. INSTALL HOLE PLUG 
  26. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH 
  27. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WIRE LH 
  28. INSTALL DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB BEZEL LH 
  29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB HOLDER 
  30. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
  31. INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf) 

  32. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH 
  33. INSTALL DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 
  34. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      MP Grease - -
      1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door window regulator with motor assembly.
      2. Install the front door window regulator with motor assembly with the 7 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      3. Connect the connector.
  35. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

      3. Move the front door window regulator sub-assembly LH so that the door glass bolt holes can be.

      Install in this Direction - -
      1. Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
        WARNING:
        • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
        • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

        Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

      2. Disconnect the connector.
      3. Temporarily install the front door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly LH.

      4. Install the front door glass sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  36. INSTALL HOLE PLUG 
  37. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  38. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      *a Match Mark *b Bead Mark
      Turn in this Direction - -
      1. Pass the front door Lock remote control cable assembly LH and front door Inside Locking cable assembly LH through the front door service hole cover LH.
      2. Attach the clip to install the front door service hole cover LH.
      3. Turn the service hole cover clip 45° clockwise and align the positions of the bead mark and knob.
      4. Attach the clamp.
      5. Connect the connector.
  39. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  40. INSTALL HOLE PLUG 
  41. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR INSTALL HOLE COVER LH 
  42. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH 
  43. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  44. INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE SEAL LH 
  45. INSTALL FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR LH 
  46. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  47. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH 
  48. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
  49. INSTALL COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
  50. INSTALL DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
  51. INSTALL FRONT DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH 
  52. ADJUST FRONT DOOR LH 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2023 - ] 

  53. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  54. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  55. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR OPERATION 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2023 - ]

  56. PERFORM CALIBRATION 

    Refer to BEFORE STARTING ADJUSTMENT [12/2023 - ]

  57. INITIALIZE POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM 

    Refer to REGISTRATION [12/2023 - ]

  58. INSPECT POWER WINDOW OPERATION

  59. INSPECT POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

  60. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
