Adjustment [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

INSPECT FRONT DOOR

Check that the clearance measurements of areas "A" to "U" are within the standard ranges.

NOTE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

WARNING:

Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

ADJUST FRONT DOOR LH

NOTE:

Make sure to turn the ignition switch off when adjusting door lock strikers.

Using SST, loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the vehicle body and adjust the door position.

Using SST, tighten the bolt hinge bolts after the adjustment.
Torque: 26.0 N*m (265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf)

Using SST, loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the door and adjust the door position.

Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the door after adjustment.
Torque: 21.0 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

Detach the claw and remove the front door lock striker cover.

Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, slightly loosen the 2 striker mounting screws.

Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustments.
Torque: 23.0 N*m (235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf)
Attach the claw and install the front door lock striker cover.
