Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

Nut 

Torque: 3.5 N.m (36 kgf/cm, 31 in.lbf) 

Bolt 

Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf/cm, 66 in.lbf) 

NOTE: When installing the outer mirror protector, heat the vehicle body using a heat light.

Standard Value

WARNING:

• Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
• Touching the heat light may result in burns.
• Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

   1. Clean the surface of the vehicle body.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      NOTE:

      Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.

   2. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new outer mirror protector.
   3. Install 2 new outer mirror protectors.

      HINT: 

      Apply pressure so that it does not lift up from the vehicle body.
