Operating Light Control Rheostat does not Change Light Brightness [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

   Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

   Light control rheostat (Trip switch) condition displayed on the GTS changes with the actual switch operation.

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (TRIP SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

1. Disconnect the E5 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the E78 light control rheostat (trip switch) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E5-28 (TR) - E78-5 (RV)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E5-26 (SW3) - E78-7 (E)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E5-28 (TR) or E78-5 (RV) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E5-26 (SW3) or E78-7 (E) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG
