DTC B1508-19: Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Circuit Current Above Threshold [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH and side turn signal light LH does not blink. A
      Front turn signal light RH and side turn signal light RH does not blink. B
      Rear turn signal light LH do not blink. C
      Rear turn signal light RH do not blink. D

  2. CHECK HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the A52 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

  3. CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the G43 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  4. CHECK HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the E195 hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the E5 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A52 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the G43 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the E195 hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E5-5 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  6. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the z22 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  8. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

    2. Reconnect the A52 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    4. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      B1507-18 is output. B

    3. Disconnect the G20 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

      Procedure1

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E5-6 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes
