Installation [10/2022 - 10/2024]: Procedure
- INSTALL REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR
- INSTALL REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR
- INSTALL REAR COIL SPRING
*a 30° or less *b Lower end of rear coil spring *c Identification mark for TMC made *d Identification mark for TMMC made Inner side of the vehicle - - - Set the rear coil spring to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.NOTE:
- Be sure to install the rear coil spring so that the lower end is positioned on the outside of the vehicle +/-30° range.
- Be sure to install the rear coil spring so that the identification mark is facing the outside of the vehicle.
- Using a jack and wooden block, slowly jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly and then install the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the bolt.WARNING:
Do not jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.
NOTE:- When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack up slowly.
- Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.
- Insert the bolt from the rear of the vehicle.
- The smaller diameter end must face upward.
- Make sure to align the center point of the rear upper coil spring insulator with that of the vehicle body side convex shape.
- Set the rear coil spring to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
*1 REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR *2 REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR - Check that the rear coil spring upper insulator and the rear coil spring lower insulator are installed as shown in the illustration.
- TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
- STABILIZE SUSPENSION
*a Wooden block *b Jack *c 15.2 mm (0.598 in.) - - Wooden block placement location - - - Using a jack and wooden block, etc., apply load to the suspension so that the No. 2 rear suspension arm assembly is positioned as shown in the illustration.WARNING:
- Do not raise the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly more than necessary.
- If you lift it more than necessary, the vehicle may fall off the lift and cause a serious accident.
NOTE:- When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack up slowly.
- Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.
- Using a jack and wooden block, etc., apply load to the suspension so that the No. 2 rear suspension arm assembly is positioned as shown in the illustration.
