Installation [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

   1. Secure the rear suspension support assembly in a vise using aluminum plates.
      NOTE:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

   2. Install the rear suspension support assembly to the rear shock absorber assembly.
   3. While holding the piston rod of the rear shock absorber assembly using a hexagon socket wrench (6 mm), tighten with a new hexagon nut using SST.
      • SST: 09729-00170 

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Fully insert the socket hex wrench 6.

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2022 - ]

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 200 mm (7.874 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.087 in.)): 11.8 N.m (120 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf)

   1. Install the rear shock absorber assembly to the vehicle with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 63 N.m (642 kgf/cm, 46 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Temporarily tighten the bolt (A) and then fully tighten the 2 bolts in the order of (B) and (A).
