Installation [08/2023 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
- for HEV Model
*a View A *b 120° *c Paint Mark *d Upper Side of Vehicle *e 3 to 7 mm (0.1181 to 0.2756 in.) *f outlet heater water hose B *g outlet heater water hose C - - - Connect the outlet heater water hose B and outlet heater water hose C to the No. 2 outlet water pipe and inlet water pipe and slide the 2 clips to secure them.NOTE:
- When installing the outlet heater water hose B and outlet heater water hose C, ensure that the exhaust heat recirculation system is filled with coolant. Otherwise, the engine water pump assembly may be damaged.
- Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
- Connect the outlet heater water hose B and outlet heater water hose C to the No. 2 outlet water pipe and inlet water pipe and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
- Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- for HEV Model
- INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Sensor 2)
Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2023 - ]
- INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf)
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine [for HEV Model])
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine [for HEV Model])
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
- If gas is leaking, tighten the areas necessary to stop the leak. Replace damaged parts as necessary.
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after repairing or replacing the exhaust system.
