DTC B1507-18: Turn Signal Light Circuit Current Below Threshold [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Operate the turn signal switch and check the problem symptoms.

  3. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    • Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

      Result

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the A43 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the C19 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      A43-11 (TNS) - C19-5 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      A43-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Ω

      NG

    Post-procedure1

    • None

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2024]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2024 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    • Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    • Remove the headlight assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the headlight assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the front turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

    Pre-procedure1

    • Disconnect the A53 headlight assembly LH connector.
    • Disconnect the C19 combination meter assembly connector.
    • Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Result
      A53-1 (B) - C19-5 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω Ω
      A53-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Ω

  7. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH)

    • Check the rear turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.

    • Remove the rear combination light lens and body LH from the rear combination light assembly LH.

    • Remove the rear combination light lens and body RH from the rear combination light assembly RH.

      HINT: 

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [10/2022 - ]

    • Interchange the rear combination light lens and body LH with RH and connect the connectors.
    • Check the rear turn signal light (LH side) operates normally.
