DTC P2E00-64: Gear Lever Position Sensor "A" Signal Plausibility Failure; DTC P2E04-64: Gear Lever Position Sensor "B" Signal Plausibility Failure; DTC P2E08-64: Gear Lever Position Sensor "C" Signal Plausibility Failure [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Procedure1

    2. Using the GTS, perform a Health Check.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

      Post-procedure1

    4. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

      Post-procedure1

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Disconnect the GTS.
    5. Leave the vehicle as is for 60 seconds or more.
      NOTE:
      • Do not connect the GTS.
      • Do not depress the brake pedal.
      • Do not open/close any of the doors.

    Result: 

    NEXT

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PERFORM A REPRODUCTION TEST) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and wait for 1 minute or more.
    2. Turn all switches off and turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Disconnect the GTS.
    4. Wait for 5 minutes or more with the door lock locked.

      HINT: 

      • Once the door lock is locked, keep the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) 3 m (9.84 ft.) or more away from the vehicle.
      • Because the system will not sleep while any door and/or the hood is open, take steps such as securing the courtesy switch to make the system recognize the doors and hood as closed when carrying out the operation.
      • If the vehicle is equipped with a power back door, the system will not sleep if the back door is not closed. Ensure that the back door is closed before carrying out the operation.
    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and wait for 1 minute or more.

    6. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only P2E00-64, P2E04-64 or P2E08-64 is output A
      P2E00-64, P2E04-64 or P2E08-64 and other DTCs are output B
      DTCs are not output C

      Post-procedure1

    7. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (SHIFT CONTROL ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer To  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    C 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
