Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 
    HINT: 
    • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
    • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

      Remove in this Direction Protective Tape
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw as shown in the illustration to remove the front wiper arm head cap.
  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      1. Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

        HINT: 

        While holding the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH, loosen the nut.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

        HINT: 

        While holding the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH, loosen the nut.

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING RH

      Remove in this Direction Protective Tape
      1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clip and remove the windshield outside moulding RH.
  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE MOULDING LH

      Remove in this Direction Protective Tape
      1. Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clip and remove the windshield outside moulding LH.
  6. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER RH

  11. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    To prevent damage to the windshield glass, remove any foreign matter (sand, dust, etc.) from around the contacting surfaces of the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and windshield glass.

  12. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    Be careful not to damage the windshield glass when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

      *a Motor Grommet - -
      Slide in this Direction - -
      1. Remove the 3 bolts.
      2. Detach the motor grommet and remove the front wiper motor and link as shown in the illustration.
      3. Slide the front wiper motor and link toward the outside of the vehicle.
      4. Slide the front wiper motor and link toward the inside of the vehicle and detach the wire harness clamp.

  13. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *a Wiper Motor Pivot - -
      Remove in this Direction Protective Tape
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the No. 1 wiper ring rod from the wiper motor pivot as shown in the illustration.

      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" screws and the windshield wiper motor assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not remove the wiper crank arm from the windshield wiper motor assembly.
