DTC B0055-12: Second Row Right Seat Belt Sensor Circuit Short to Battery [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS

Pre-procedure1

Turn the power switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Procedure1

Check that the connectors are properly connected to the airbag ECU assembly and rear seat inner belt assembly RH.

The connectors are properly connected.

Result

CHECK CONNECTORS

Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

Disconnect the rear seat inner belt assembly RH connector.
Procedure1

Check that the connectors (on the airbag ECU assembly side and rear seat inner belt assembly RH side) are not damaged.

The terminals of the connectors are not deformed or damaged.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR SHORT TO +B IN THE CIRCUIT)

Pre-procedure1

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

Procedure1

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

CLEAR DTC

Connect the airbag ECU assembly connector.

Connect the rear seat inner belt assembly RH connector.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
Turn the power switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs
