DTC C13A6: Open or Short Circuit in Motor [10/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the L76 parking brake ECU assembly connector.
3. Disconnect the L78 parking brake with bracket actuator assembly connector.
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   L76-1 (M-) - L78-7 (M-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   L76-1 (M-) or L78-7 (M-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   L76-2 (M+) - L78-8 (M+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   L76-2 (M+) or L78-8 (M+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the L78 parking brake with bracket actuator assembly connector.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   L78-7 (M-) - L78-8 (M+)	Always	Below 4 Ω
   L78-7 (M-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   L78-8 (M+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE PARKING BRAKE WITH BRACKET ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]
