Adjustment [10/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FITTING OF LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the clearance measurements of areas A to I are within the standard ranges.

      Standard

      Area Measurement Area Measurement
      A -1.5 to 1.5 mm (-0.059 to 0.059 in.) B 2.7 to 5.7 mm (0.106 to 0.224 in.)
      C -1.5 to 1.5 mm (-0.059 to 0.059 in.) D 2.2 to 5.2 mm (0.087 to 0.205 in.)
      E -1.4 to 1.6 mm (-0.055 to 0.063 in.) F 2.9 to 5.9 mm (0.114 to 0.232 in.)
      G -1.9 to 2.1 mm (-0.075 to 0.083 in.) H 2.5 to 6.5 mm (0.098 to 0.256 in.)
      I 4.0 to 8.0 mm (0.157 to 0.315 in.) - -
  2. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the luggage compartment door hinge cover LH.

      See step  32 [10/2017 - 10/2020], or see step  35 [10/2020 - 11/2021], or see step  35 [11/2021 - 10/2022], or see step  35 [10/2022 - 10/2023], or see step  35 [10/2023 - ]

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    2. Loosen the 4 hinge bolts on the body and adjust the door position.

    3. Tighten the 4 hinge bolts on the body after the adjustment.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    4. Detach the claw and guide and remove the rear luggage room cover.

    5. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer.

    6. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment.

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

    7. Attach the claw and guide to install the rear luggage room cover.
