Installation [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a heated oxygen sensor.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ]

    1. Using SST, install the heated oxygen sensor to the front exhaust pipe assembly.

      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
      • SST: 09224-00012 

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 05/2023] , or refer to PRECAUTION [05/2023 - ]

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.181 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.087 in.)):37.7 N*m (384 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf)
    2. Attach the heated oxygen sensor grommet and clamp to the vehicle body.
  2. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a heated oxygen sensor.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ]

    1. Using SST, install the heated oxygen sensor to the front exhaust pipe assembly.

      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
      • SST: 09224-00012 

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      HINT:

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.181 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.087 in.)):37.7 N*m (384 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf)
    2. Attach the heated oxygen sensor grommet and clamp to the vehicle body.
  3. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR 
    1. Connect the 2 heated oxygen sensor connectors.
    2. Install the floor carpet to the original position.
  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [03/2017 - 04/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [04/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [05/2023 - ]

  5. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2023 - ]

  6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2023 - ]

  7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [09/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [09/2023 - ]

  9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2023 - ]

  10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2023 - ]

  11. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [03/2017 - 09/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [09/2023 - ]
