Reassembly [03/2017 - 06/2019]: Procedure
- INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP LH
- Temporarily install the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH to the front pillar.
- Using an air riveter or hand riveter with a nose piece, install the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH with 2 new 4.8 mm (0.189 in.) waterproof rivets.NOTE:
- Do not pry the rivet with the riveter as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.
*a Riveter *b Mandrel *c INCORRECT *d CORRECT - Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH.
*a Riveter *b INCORRECT *c CORRECT - Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH.
- Do not leave any space between the rivet head and roof drip side finish moulding clip LH.
- Do not leave any space between the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH and front pillar. Firmly hold together the 2 parts while installing the rivet.

HINT:
If the mandrel of the rivet does not come off on the first operation of the rivet gun, slide the rivet gun forward on the mandrel and operate it again.
- Do not pry the rivet with the riveter as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.
- Temporarily install the roof drip side finish moulding clip LH to the front pillar.
- INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE PANEL MOULDING LH
HINT:
- When installing the No. 1 side panel moulding LH, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the No. 1 side panel moulding LH on the other side.

- Touching the heat light may result in burns.

*a Heated Part *b Heat Light - When reusing the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH:
- Using a heat light, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH surface.
- Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.NOTE:
- Installing the No. 1 side panel moulding LH with some double-sided tape remaining may cause poor adhesion. Perform this procedure until the tape is sufficiently removed.
- Make sure to use a cloth when removing. Using a screwdriver, etc., may cause damage and poor adhesion.
- Clean the new roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH surface.
- Remove the release paper from the No. 1 side panel moulding LH.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Apply a new No. 1 side panel moulding LH from the center of the rib at points a and b, fold it back so that it aligns with the base shape of the flange, align its application start and stop ends and apply the No. 1 side panel moulding LH.
*a Rib A *b Rib B Install in this Direction HINT:
Press the No. 1 side panel moulding LH firmly to install it.
- INSTALL ROOF TOP MOULDING
HINT:
- When installing the roof top moulding, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the roof top moulding on the other side.

- Clean the new roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH surface.
- Remove the release paper from the roof top moulding.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Align the roof top moulding with the mark-off line on the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH and install it as shown in the illustration.
*a Mark-off Line HINT:
Press the roof top moulding firmly to install it.
- INSTALL NO. 1 GRILLE OPENING MOULDING END COVER
HINT:
- When installing the No. 1 grille opening moulding end cover, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the No. 1 grille opening moulding end cover on the other side.

Press the No. 1 grille opening moulding end cover firmly to install it.
- INSTALL UPPER BACK WINDOW MOULDING JOINT COVER LH
HINT:
- When installing the upper back window moulding joint cover LH, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the upper back window moulding joint cover LH on the other side.

- Apply primer to the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH on the installation area of the upper back window moulding joint cover LH using a brush or felt.
Primer - - NOTE:- Replace the brush or felt if it is dirty or has become hardened.
- Keep any painted surface free from primer.
- If the primer contacts a painted surface, it may leave light primer marks. Therefore, use protective tape when using liquid primer.
- Do not touch surfaces to which primer has been applied until the upper back window moulding joint cover LH has been attached.
- Let the primer dry sufficiently.NOTE:
Do not touch applied surfaces until the primer is dry.
Recommended drying time
10 minutes or more (at 23°C (73°F))
- Remove the release paper from the upper back window moulding joint cover LH.
HINT:
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
- Align the upper back window moulding joint cover LH with the application start position and install it along the edge of roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
*a Mark-off Line *b Application Start Position HINT:
Press the upper back window moulding joint cover LH firmly to install it.
- INSTALL UPPER BACK WINDOW MOULDING JOINT COVER RH
HINT:
- When installing the upper back window moulding joint cover RH, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the upper back window moulding joint cover RH on the other side.

- INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT FENDER MOULDING JOINT
HINT:
- When installing the No. 1 front fender moulding joint, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the No. 1 front fender moulding joint on the other side.

- Use the same procedure to install the rear roof drip side finish moulding LH on the other side.

Press the rear roof drip side finish moulding LH firmly to install it.
- INSTALL CENTER PILLAR EXTENSION BELT MOULDING
HINT:
- When installing the center pillar extension belt moulding, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the center pillar extension belt moulding on the other side.

- When installing the front fender outside moulding pad LH, heat the roof side rail garnish sub-assembly LH using a heat light.
- Use the same procedure to install the front fender outside moulding pad LH on the other side.
